As a family-owned company, Tom Franey Trucking, Inc. has a rich history over the last 25 years. Since the beginning, we made a commitment to provide a quality customer experience with every load
1993
In early 1993, Tom Franey started out hauling grain, fertilizer, and road construction materials as an owner-operator for a local family-owned trucking business while working part-time at night for United Parcel Service (UPS).
1994
In May 1994, Tom gave up his part-time UPS position and started hauling petroleum for another family-owned local transportation company.
1997
In October 1997, Tom bought his first brand new truck, while continuing to work for the same company as an owner-operator.
2002
In April of 2002, Tom started hauling under his own authority, Tom Franey Trucking, Inc. with one truck, one trailer, and one customer. A couple other customers came on board fairly soon, and the company added a second trailer as a backup in case of breakdown.

By September 2002, he hired the first driver and started to increase drivers and equipment as the operation grew.
2004-
2005
In January of 2005, Stephanie quit her “day job” and started full-time in the business.

With consistently increasing business, the company hired Chad Smith and Justin Burnett, who worked first as a drivers and then as dispatchers. Both still work for the company.
2010
Tom Franey Trucking moved into their new facilities in November 2010. The company operates out of two office spaces, seven maintenance bays and one wash bay.
2020+
Tom Franey Trucking has continued to expand their team and service areas over the years.
